Long ago, I committed myself to positivity and I pride myself on remaining optimistic even during the most trying times. Seeing the dark, scary, and sinful elements in life is easy. As a response to witnessing such suffering, depression blinds us as horrible things happen every day. Rejecting such sorrow, I believe every individual is destined to make a huge impact and that we, as a human race, don’t often realize the power we hold which allows us to turn the bad into the good. My art is created to impact the world in a positive way.

Painting is my preferred art form, as the nature behind this medium aligns with my life philosophy. While painting, I cannot erase mistakes, instead I get to paint on top of them, distorting them to be viewed by myself and others as a thing of beauty. The same goes for life. Bad cannot be erased, but can only be construed or re-envisioned to be good.

Beauty is an undefinable concept, yet is something appreciated by all. Beauty is found in a smile, in the teaching of a child, the witnessing of a buzzing bumble bee, or any number or things. My artistic purpose is driven by the desire to capture these subtle beauties, and my artistic goal is to give those viewing my art a feeling of peace. I add immense detail into my work in hopes my viewers look for the small detailed beauties in their own lives. I hope my artwork adds a hint of positivity, no matter how small, in the lives of those who view it.
